Don’t Miss the Action! The intense Arizona summer is about to test the limits of even the toughest field hockey players. With temperatures expected to soar close to 104°F, this Saturday’s matches will separate the committed from the casual. While some may choose to stay indoors, the real fighters will lace up their shoes, grab their sticks, and step onto the turf with full passion and determination.

The Phoenix Hockey Club’s Summer Hockey League has delivered two months of thrilling, high-quality hockey. Six strong teams battled it out, and now only the best four remain for the Semifinals:

  • Soorma’s
  • Roadrunners
  • Flames
  • Vipers

Special mention to Minion’s (captained by Elam), who showed tremendous spirit throughout the league. Their impressive victory over Anuj’s Strikers in the final league match was outstanding, but unfortunately, they narrowly missed qualifying for the semis.

Semi-Final Matches – This Saturday
7:00 PM – First Semi-Final – (Soorma’s vs Roadrunners)
This promises to be a clash of titans under the blazing sun!
Shamsher Johl leads Soorma’s with a powerful squad featuring Namit Mangat, Adam, Moe Brar, PP, Jassi, Vivek, Babbu Saini, and more. These players bring experience, skill, speed, and raw aggression to the field.

Challenging them will be Marina Winn’s Roadrunners — a well-balanced and dangerous team with stars like Adriana, Raman Johl, Randy, Praji, Udheeran, Lance, Kalpna, Satwinder Bansal, Manpreet Sonu, and Kartik. Expect fast attacks, strong defense, and non-stop action from both sides!

8:00 PM – Second Semi-Final – (Flames vs Vipers)
As the evening lights take over, the intensity will rise even higher!
Ravneet Johl’s Flames are in fiery form. With dynamic players like Deep Dhillon and Manjeet Bajwa acting as trump cards, explosive midfielder Riaaz, lightning-fast runner Niranjan, versatile Raj Mangat, and rock-solid defender Sukhi Hundal, this team has all the ingredients of a champion side.

Pari Rasmani’s Vipers have stepped up their game significantly. Captain Pari is leading with greater seriousness and focus. Their rock-solid defense anchored by Tony Mangat, Aman, Elex Black, and Ruthie forms an almost impenetrable wall, while attackers Abdulla, Kamal Chatha, Sapna, Paris, Surinder, and others are ready to strike with precision and power.

The Grand Finale Awaits!
The two victorious teams will battle for the championship in the Grand Final on July 4th — America’s Independence Day! Saturday evening will decide which two powerhouses will compete in what is sure to be a spectacular final.
